Our Mothers Matter Co-Chairs Patti Kelly and Colleen Garretson were part of the River Sisters Dragon Boat Team for the Cooper River Dragon Boat Festival on July 27th.
What fun! It was a first for Patti and Colleen but after a practice session the night before both were ready to paddle and both had a great time! It was a great experience with a group of awesome women. The River Sisters Dragon Boat Team, founded in 2017, is comprised of women cancer survivors committed to fostering strength, wellness and camaraderie for women cancer survivors.
Mothers Matter is proud to partner with The River Sisters on land as well! They support Mothers Matter with “Think Pink” collection drives and team members volunteer at headquarters to help assemble “Comfort” gift bags for women fighting cancer.
