Lauren Rose Albert Foundation/Mothers Matter 2017 Volley for Support benefit charity
The Lauren Rose Albert Foundation’s signature “Mothers Matter” program is honored to have been selected as the beneficiary of the 13th Annual “Volley for Support” Tournament / Fundraiser where parents, students and staff of the Cherry Hill Public Schools all pitch in to raise money for a special cause.
On Friday, May 5th all 19 public schools in Cherry Hill fielded teams for the volleyball tournament at Cherry Hill East. Earlier that same day, some schools held walks or other events to raise awareness additional funds for the “Volley for Support.”
Kingston, Horace Mann, Woodcrest, Stockton, Russell Knight, Barclay, Cooper, Rosa and Johnston Schools held Mothers Matter collection drives.
“We are so honored and excited that Cherry Hill schools are dedicating the proceeds from the 2017 “Volley for Support” to further energize the work of our Mothers Matter program,” said Susan Rose, founder and President of the Lauren Rose Albert Foundation.
There is a personal aspect to this recognition since Lauren and her three sisters – Jackie, Amy and Elizabeth – all are alumni of Cherry Hill Schools. “ When we heard that Mothers Matter was selected it was a truly emotional moment for our family” Rose said. “ The thought of our community rallying to support the Foundation’s work on behalf of women in need is overwhelming.”
The LRAF sent a very unique and memorable Thank You – a beautiful commemorative banner – for each Cherry Hill School.
