Mothers Matter Year Round
“Because Every Day is Mother’s Day”
The Lauren Rose Albert Foundation partners with community service agencies, organizations, hospitals and social service agencies to provide Mothers Matter gift bags to women facing difficult challenges. Gift bags are also provided to individuals upon request.
Mothers Matter volunteers assemble “custom” gift bags that reflect recipient’s special needs.
As examples:
- “Comfort” gift bags for women receiving chemotherapy treatment or cancer surgery include our own Mothers Matter soft pillows, warm and fuzzy socks, puzzle books, unscented lotions and writing journals.
- “ Go Get ‘Em Girl” gift bags for women undergoing radiation treatments include Spa type products to uplift, energize and empower recipients.
- Helping Hands gift bags for women living in shelters are overflowing with pampering and practical products to address the immediate personal care needs of incoming recipients and also offer some toiletry items to help brighten their lives.
- Our Mini gift bags for Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms include playing cards, journals, hand lotion, lip gloss, nail polish and other items a mom might need while spending hours with her child in the hospital.
Current year-round partners include bags throughout the year Mercy Hospice, Penn/Virtua Cancer Program, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, People in Transition, Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Inspira, Minitti Center for Hematology, Penn Medicine Virtua Cancer Program, and the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Hospital, numerous women’s shelters, Lourdes Community Outreach, Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, and Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms.
For women facing economic difficulties, family illness, tragedy or critical quality of life issues, Mothers Matter gifts offer a ray of sunshine and a message of caring and comfort – that “Mothers Matter”
