In the last year, the Burlington County College (BCC) Foundation has awarded deserving BCC students a total of 485 scholarships (a record number) worth more than $432,000. To celebrate the generosity of donors and the academic achievements of the students, BCC hosted the 4th annual Celebration of Philanthropy Brunch on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Lewis M. Parker Center Cafeteria located on the Pemberton campus, 601 Pemberton Browns Mills Rd.
The BCC Foundation works to match BCC students with scholarships that best fit their needs. There are scholarships for military family members, nursing and engineering majors, residents of Moorestown and Camden, students who give back to the community through service projects, single mothers, and many more. Donors have established more than 60 different scholarships to help students succeed despite financial or personal hardships.
