Mothers Matter Volunteer Responsibilities
In 2019 Mothers Matter distributed 4,200 beautiful – perfectly made – gift bags. Each gift bag has an average of 12 products – most have more. We collect over 60,000 products a year that are inventoried, sorted and stocked.
We are able to accomplish this because all of our volunteers pitch in to do whatever has to be done to achieve our goals. Here is a partial list of the tasks volunteers are asked to do as needed.
- Sort products
- Clean usable slightly soiled items
- Stock shelves
- Pull products needed to make bags
- Cut ribbon, pipe cleaners
- Punch holes / String ribbon for cards
- General cleaning in headquarters as needed
- Check expiration dates
- Open packaged products
- Assemble gift bags
Mothers Matter Committee Member Responsibilities
The Mothers Matter Committee is responsible for the Mothers Matter gift basket program, with members committing to active participation as required.
Under the leadership of Mothers Matter Committee Chairs, members assume responsibility for various individual tasks and assignments and overall well-being of the program and headquarters, attend committee meetings, and support and participate in fundraising and promotional events.
